Association of African Universities (AAU) Symposium on Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies in Higher Education (RUAIETH) 2026 will be hosted in conjuction with the IEEE Sponsored 2026 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Networks and Computer Communications (ETNCC) in a hybrid mode from August 04 - 06, 2026 by the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST).
The symposium will be organised in collaboration with the UK’s Responsible Digital Futures, the University of Nottingham and RAI UK, the Association of African Universities Southern Africa Regional Office (AAU SARO) and UNESCO Chair on Secure High-performance Computing for Higher Education and Research (SHPCHER).
The RUAIETH 2026 symposium covers responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies (ET) in higher education and emerging trends in policy, governance and ethics of technology supported education delivery in Africa.
