About the International Conference on Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies in Higher Education
Association of African Universities (AAU) International Conference on Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies in Higher Education (RUAIETH) 2026 will be hosted by the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) in a hybrid mode from February 18-20, 2026, at Windhoek, Namibia. The conference will be organised in collaboration with the UK’s Responsible Digital Futures, the University of Nottingham and RAI UK, the Association of African Universities Southern Africa Regional Office (AAU SARO) and UNESCO Chair on Secure High-performance Computing for Higher Education and Research (SHPCHER).
The conference is technically co-sponsored by the Journal of Responsible Technology (JRT).
The RUAIETH 2026 conference covers responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies (ET) in higher education and emerging trends in policy, governance and ethics of technology supported education delivery in Africa. There will be hackathons and workshops running concurrent with industry exhibitions and technical presentations.

NUST Namibia
